Drone delivery as a hybrid model in urban areas

Drones are making waves in the delivery space with companies running preliminary operations in rural areas and developing tools and models to improve operations; the aim is to convince regulators that it’s feasible for a company to safely operate drones in urban areas. Although the technology has proven to be ready, regulatory concerns over public safety and privacy, lack of supporting infrastructure, and the questions surrounding the future scale of operations still pose an obstacle the industry has to overcome.
